| I am humble and grateful for the recognition Toray has given to one of my digital artworks. After I realized the piece was expressing the excitement and joy of a festival, I began to work hard at including the feeling of tension, confusion and a bit of danger; since I feel these are also elements present in any large gathering of human beings. Along with the suggestion of noise, sex, music, food and dance a universal feeling of celebration begins to emerge in the piece I eventually named "Carnival". I use all the tools available to me to mix 3D renderings, photo manipulation, hand drawn images, Fractals and special effect filters into what I hope is a unique form of expression. All Art, but, in particular, Digital Art should speak to all humans regardless of culture. Thank you, Toray for helping to promote digital art worldwide with your fine Digital Creation Awards and exhibit.
