I am grateful for such a wonderful award.
I had been drawing real illustrations using tools such as airbrushes, up until about four years ago. Since then, however, I have been constantly using computers for my business purposes, and I ended up drawing digital illustrations without realizing it. I finally started producing pictures that can be called "artwork," when I learned about the DCA. I couldn't help but having a try at it.
This work was born out of my real illustration background. Scenery in which there are dinosaurs has always been my motif. As have scenes in which, time and/or epochs are moving slowly, magnificently -- it would be great if my audience can get such a feeling from this work.
Receiving this award has made me feel that I would like to keep producing my works that are even more satisfactory, in this very promising world of CG. Thank you very much. |
