Upon the reception of the Special Recognition Award, I am very excited and honored. I would like to pay tribute to the sponsoring company Toray Industries, Inc. and its cultural philanthropy, performed based on its worldwide perspectives. I would also like to thank all the review committee members for their efforts.
On producing the work that I entered in the fifth Digital Creation Awards, I had the following thematic concepts. Humans roam--they wander, in the span between their birth and death. They walk, run, and wander while thinking through, over the years, what are the workings of life, ideals and reality, love and hope, intellect and emotions, wars and peace, fertility and starvation, gods and humans, and so forth. I wanted such images of human beings wandering, looking for the value of their existence, symbolically drawn in this digital artwork.
