[Comments on the prize-winning work] |
| I depicted the world one could see when he or she was looking up at the sky, from inside the water. I created flowers and the Moon by processing a variety of things that are somehow related to water world. I worked on it while hoping that someday there will be an ideal space where everything melts in and fuses into each other. |

Thank you very much for the Honorable Mention Award. I am very happy to be given the opportunity to present this artwork of mine.
I have been creating works with my own thematic subjects. As for this one particularly, my imagination got me started to work on it-- I wondered what kind of world it would be like if I were a creature in the water and could freely move about. I included a variety of creatures in shadows in this artwork. I would love my audience to feel the illusionary world of water. |
