| In January this year, on my birthday it snowed in Yokohama. It became my inspiration and the source of my imagination to draw this work. The Moon is blinking her eye as a snowflake is going in it. |
[Comments on receiving the Excellence Award] |
I did not regularly draw using my computer before, however, my art teacher suggested that I should give it a try. I feel as if I'm dreaming right now, to be given such an award for my work. When I heard the news, my heart was filled with surprise and happy feelings.
I was inspired to draw this picture when it snowed. I wondered, "what would the Moon look like if it snowed this much at night?" I extended my imagination and ended up drawing this picture of the Moon in whose eye a snowflake went in.
From now on, I would like to make the receiving of this award my motivation to try in even more different fields. Thank you very much. |
