| About the work |

| When I smell the fragrance of a certain flower, I recall memories from the past. I don't know if they are scary or unpleasant, but I am a little hurt by them. I reflected this feeling of mine in this work. |

| On receiving the award |
|
I was very surprised that I won the Excellence Award but I am delighted and overwhelmed with gratitude. Eight months ago, I didn't even know Adobe Photoshop CS existed and so I am grateful also for the education received at my school and my teacher who gave me with this opportunity.
Winning this award is a huge step forward for my creative activities.
When creating a picture, I try to express what I want to say in an easy-to-understand way while also considering how to make it beautiful. I believe that you cannot truly get across what you want to say in a work if you go about it halfheartedly. I created this one in a short period of time but with my best effort.
I do think the expression in this work was a little dark, but that was best for what I wanted to get across.
I would like to get further involved in the world of digital art in the future.
