| On receiving the award |

I had an image in my head of foreign sweets when I did this work. I drew a couple of greedy birds who had been attracted to the distinct smell and color of those sweets. By applying a plastic wrap effect over the whole picture, I made it look as if it was about to melt and yet was a little disgusting.
It had not crossed my mind that my work would be chosen, so my surprise wasgreater than my joy. |
