The award ceremony for the Toray Digital Creation Awards 2006 was held on June 3 at the headquarters building of Toray Industries, Inc.
The day was blessed with refreshingly fine weather and a total of 36 people, including the DCA2006 prizewinners and their families and friends, attended the award ceremony. Many of those in attendance had come from far away, including DCA Grand Prize winner, Miho Aoki, who had traveled from Alaska to take part.
During the award ceremony, the awarding of honors took place after comments had been made on the DCA Junior and DCA Grand Prize, Excellence Award, Special Recognition Award and other prizewinning pieces. After the award ceremony a reception was held for the prizewinners and members of the Screening Committee, enabling all those present to become better acquainted in a sociable atmosphere. The two-hour-long award ceremony and reception were great successes and went off without a hitch.
