|
Doing manual labor and working up a sweat puts a smile on the face.
A chiropractor smiles back when thanked for treating a person suffering from terrible back pain. Having earnestly taught his students how to solve a difficult question, the teacher smiles when they are able to solve it on their own. I turned these kinds of small pleasure into art. |

I am Kikusui, the humorous cartoonist.
Thank you very much for the wonderful award. To create this artwork the most important thing for me was the idea of a one-shot performance. It'll make me happy if people smile when they see this image. I'd like to continue creating art that make people smile. I wish happiness and success to the people at the Toray DCA Secretariat who run this wonderful competition and to all those who entered. |
