My digital design this year is entitled "Two Face."
This piece depicts an old couple who have found an old photo, smiling to each other while savoring all sorts of vivid memories. It's very important to smile as the times change. I've expressed the time that the couple has spent together by giving them clocks for faces rather than giving them expressions. |

I am very pleased that my artwork was chosen.
One year ago I was only acquainted with drawing by hand as a mode of expression. Now, I am studying design at the Bunka Designer Institute. I was introduced to Photoshop during my studies there."Two Face" was produced as a digital design. This piece depicts an elderly couple who have found old photos, smiling as they relive all sorts of vivid memories. I created an old fashioned atmosphere. I used clocks to depict their faces and thought it would be fun if people start exercising their imagination when they see that each clock face expresses a different time.
The two main characters do not have facial expressions, but by including a smiling face in the picture, an association was created showing that laughter and smiles are the same whether it is the past or present.With this piece I realized for the first time the importance of feeling an attachment to one's artwork.
I hope to continue to further expand my unique perspective on the world.
