| About the work |
|
| Human-like creatures that can manipulate the expression of laughter--they are actors in the Tooth Theatre. When they narrow their eyes and relax their mouths, the five-person tooth show begins. |

Thank you very much for selecting my piece, "Tooth Show." I am extremely happy to have been chosen.
When I create artwork, I strive to combine both digital and conventional techniques. I digitally process parts of images produced by hand, and seek to achieve the look of conventional mediums in my digital works. In other words, the ideal piece is one that seamlessly blends both techniques. For my entry, too, I scanned collages and drawings I made by hand, and added the finishing touches by computer using different processes and montage. I hope to continue using computers effectively as one mode of expression. |
