Thank you very much for this wonderful award. I still find it hard to
believe that I have actually been chosen.
I believe that my work is something unique in the present world of
digital art. When I first began work on this project on the Macintosh,
I felt myself wanting to put more and more into it. But I didn't want my work to be limited to the display of complexity and sophistication in the digital world. Rather, I wanted to express, through my art work, the first and most basic human relationship experienced at birth. The Macintosh and MacroMedia xRes was especially helpful in bringing to life these elements, without inhibiting my creative process.
The advent of digitalized information is creating a major revolution in
the world of photography. Not just photography, but many aspects in life is being simplified by digitalization, and at the same time, receiving the benefit of multiplicity of functions. In such an environment, each artist will be called upon to re-evaluate themselves and find out what it is they truly want to express. I hope to continue expressing the self to anyone with interest in this new world environment we have today.
