Since I found it difficult to express myself with existing computer graphics software, I decided to create my own software to enable a true representation of what I wanted to draw. I pretended that the scanner was the retina of the eye, and as I worked to get the feeling I wanted to the paintbrush of my CG software, I thought to myself "what do I want to do with the visual which I inputted into the computer, or rather, the visual I projected onto the retina?" It took me 5 years to create a software which I could be satisfied with, although I admit that the only time available for myself to work on the software was on my own private time. I contemplated combining my software with those already in existence to create something which will enable a more sensitive touch to the artwork, but I decided to start from scratch and create a software which was based wholly on my own feelings. For the above reason, the fact that I have been chosen for the award is especially gratifying, since my own creation received acknowledgement.

This software makes it possible to create a wide range of expressions with the paintbrush. I only wish I had the time to revise the software to facilitate its use.
