[ Wild Child ] Adrian Lauterstein

"Toray Industries has bestowed a great honor on me. In a world filled
with information and images, being noticed at all is a wonderful
thing. I have been creating fine art images in Photoshop since 1990. "Wild Child" may at some point be used by a USA rock band, Witches'Wah for a CD cover. They have yet to pick up my package design and I may never get paid. This award makes up for the pitfalls that we ohten encounter in the creative fields. "Wild Child" was conceived as a reaction to today's overly complex, stressful, and often incomprehensible world. To an infant, almost everything is a mystery and a challenge. Yet, I was not trying to convey an overly negative quality . Nothing is to say that the individual cannot find his place in the world ,once it is determined what that place is. Our children are our future and taking care of the future is everyone's business. This is the first desigh contest that I have ever entered. Although I work at an ad agency(www.brandongroup.com)and have my own studio(www.tiac.net/users/adrianl) I do not often get to do the sort of work that won. You have encouraged me to continue to create and enter art for art's sake. Thank you again.
