[ Alphabet Town ] Tetsushi Sekiya

COMMENT

I created my artwork as if I was building something with blocks. With urban scraps as my building blocks, I built an alphabet consisting of pipes like motorcycle mufflers. For texture, I used what I had programed. I think the result was a picture with an interesting worldview. Since I wanted to create a sense of roughness and dirtiness, I retouched the image in 2D instead of just releasing the rendered image.
This work has a strange sense to it; it cannot be printed on paper as an "atom", but can be sent around the Internet as electronic bits. I would love to have you download it and play around with it and modify it. Also, you may want to check to see that all 26 letters of the alphabet are really in the picture. They should all be there, but you may have to look hard to find some of them because they may exist on the other side of the blocks.
