The "Toray Digital Creation Awards (DCA)," are a Computer Picture (picture painted using a computer) contest.
Entries as outlined below will be accepted. |

Conditions of entry |

The entry should be an original, copyrightable digital work that has not been previously published* at the time of the screening in March 2009.
* The entry should not have previously been published in any form, including on one's own Internet site. |

Group entries will be accepted. |
| * |
Only one entry per individual or group can be submitted. However, it is also possible to enter a composite of multiple digital works, as described below.
Composite works: Those works consisting of 5 pieces or less created by one person or one group that are combined to form a single piece. Specifically, a composite work consists of multiple works that must exist as a single piece of art in order to be understood, such as those works with a purpose of illustrating a time-series, or those that tell a story. |

The organizers accept no responsibility in the event of a protest or complaint from a third party concerning copyrights, and applicants must deal with all aspects of such action themselves, including any cost burden. |

Standards of a suitable digital work |

Works that do not match the following standards will not be considered for the contest.

| Note: A Toraysee* is a high-performance cleaner created from Toray's ultra-fine micro-fiber technology. It will be printed with the prize work and sent out to the prizewinner.(Go to Toraysee* website.) |

Applicant Information |

| Applicant information will be managed in an appropriate manner by Toray Industries, Inc. Please note that information related to the DCA will be sent to all applicants. Also before entering the contest, please note that details concerning prizewinner's names, ages, email addresses, etc., will be made public. Please contact the Toray DCA Secretariat regarding any concerns you may have. |
Screening |
|
| The DCA Screening Committee chaired by Yoichiro Kawaguchi (CG Artist, Professor of The University of Tokyo Graduate School) will examine all the entries and select the winners.
|
Announcement of Winners |
|
Announcement along with the exhibition of winning works will be made at the end of March 2009, on the Toray DCA website.
Prizewinners will be notified directly by the Toray DCA Secretariat at the end of February 2009. Prizes will be awarded at an awards ceremony.

How to Submit Entries |

Entries can be submitted online on this website.
From October 1, 2008[Wed] until midnight December 10, 2008[Wed](Japan time).
In entering your work, please fill out the application form available online, by following the directions given at each step. To follow the entry procedure, we recommend you use of the following browsers:
