DCA is a "Computer Picture" contest which Toray Industries, Inc hosts as part of its support for cultural activities.

What is DCA JUNIOR?
"Toray Digital Creation Awards (DCA)" is a Computer Picture (picture painted using a computer) contest conducted by Toray Industries, Inc. on the Internet since 1996, whose objective is to support digital artists. Starting in 2001, DCA has also included a Junior Section for children 15 years old and younger, and starting in 2006 the Junior Section has been renamed "DCA JUNIOR."

Method of Screening
Judging is strict and fair. The Screening Committee will individually examine each of the entries.

How to enter

All entries are to be submitted online.
Entries will be accepted from October 1, 2008 (Wed) until midnight December 10, 2008 (Wed) (Japan time).

Entries for DCA JUNIOR will only be accepted via the Internet. Please note that application by post will not be accepted.

Draw a picture and send in your entry!


	Draw a picture on your computer using illustration software (ADOBE Photoshop, ADOBE Illustrator, etc.). Draw any picture you like, in whatever way you like!

	Files sent for DCA JUNIOR are to be 1000 x 750 pixels or less, the resolution 350 dpi, and file size 1MB or less. Make sure you check the size of the picture that you draw!

	After checking the size of your picture, save it in JPG format. For example, DCA.jpg.

	After you have saved your picture, it is time to enter the contest. Go to "ENTER ONLINE HERE". Acceptance of entry applications will be on October 1. Deadline for entries is midnight December 10 (Japan time), and please try to send in your entry as early as possible so as to easily meet the deadline.

	You have now entered! Now all you have to do is wait for the results of the judging. If you are a winner, you will receive an email message from the DCA Secretariat at the end of February 2009, so cross your fingers and wait until then.
